Witch on Horseback - Jumand - I love the backstories they come up with for these "vintage" recordings; this "Dr. Jumand" sounds uncannily like Justin Hopper who appears on some Ghost Box releases ;)

The Witch on Horseback Institute for Cognitive Salubrity was a short-lived new age education center and performance space founded in Trumansburg, New York in the nineteen-seventies by former employees of the Moog synthesizer company. These forgotten recordings with disgraced Ithaca experimental psychologist Noving Jumand were discovered at a library sale in Ithaca, New York in the early 2020s, and have been restored from the original LPs by the musical entity known as Witch on Horseback, named in the Institute’s honor. Embark on a psychosomatic journey into the realm of heavy conscious synthtropics, a world of ambient tones and pulsing drones, abstract alien textures and hauntological discovery, all framed by the mesmerising voice of your host, Dr. Jumand.

As some of you know, I was in Charleroi (Blegium) last year and the year before, and finally I can show off what I was doing there! I was working on The Polar Bear Prince at Dreamwall! I had a great time, both with this really sweet fairytale story, and my sweet collegues and friends ☺️

I actually got the chance to animate an entire song for the main character, so that's what I'm posting first! It's a real earworm!

different anon but I really don't think it's wrong or a reach to read that "kill" as possibly negative. that just makes the song more human to me, personally, but no one is obligated to read it that way and I wouldn't claim to know what Taylor intended by it...... I also think it's maybe specifically a better line because the kill could be positive or negative. if someone thinks the song is more meaningful if it's purely positive, which I see would be a cool contrast within Taylor's discography, that's fair, but I don't really see what the issue is with reading that line that way...... I sometimes think swiftie spaces suffer from being unable to decouple possible readings of songs from personal interpretations of Taylor. Finding some anxiety in So High School shouldn't be equivalent to dooming Taylor's current relationship but it sometimes feels like that. I don't mind people wanting to analyse Taylor herself through her songs (within reason) but we're not obligated to do it, in the same way gay interpretations of Taylor's music don't have to mean anything regarding her sexuality... what's the difference here?

i'm not resistant to that interpretation because i am afraid of "dooming" her relationship (my interpretations of hoax say hello), so please don't put words in my mouth. i'm resistant because it doesn't make sense to me given the tone of the song as a whole, which is basically: you make me feel light and free, and it is a little bittersweet because my life hasn't been that way, but this relationship is simple and loving and makes me feel out of my mind because i am so in love with you. it's taylor's "this kiss."

Information that I've decided you all need to know!

@hbmmaster has a discord server! And I was on it for like less than a week before I left due to mental health reasons!

During my stay someone suggested this:

And thus, they decided to do it. As this is a jan Misali discord server, they of course cropped it to just his face and blurred it (smudged it? Motion effects? Whatever that effect is that makes Misali's pfp look like that).

They also gradually decided to add other effects. Like... cat ears... pride flags... an image of the Caramella Girls...

Btw, this all happened in the span of, at most, a few hours. I was playing Stardew Valley before they added it, and by the time I had finished, they had already made the image and then got bored and removed it and added the old one back in. I missed this whole ordeal. I wasn't even on the server while the picture was being used.

After looking around, I found the final image that was used before removal.

This now lives on my phone. I will continue to treasure it, and I hope you do too.
